Basic Information Congress venue and language The Congress will take place on the premises of the Czech Technical University, Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture (in Czech: CVUT - Fakulta stavebniho inzenyrstvi a architektury), Praha 6-Dejvice, at Technicka and Thakurova Streets (Metro station Dejvicka, on route from airport to the city centre).The Congress language is English. No simultaneous translation will be provided. Arrivals, registration and Congress opening It is anticipated that Congress participants will arrive and register beginning Saturday, 24 August 2002. The Congress Office will be open for registration, accommodation and information at the Congress site on Saturday, 24 August at 14-20 h. and on Sunday, 25 August at 10-20 h. The Office will operate from Monday till Thursday at 8-17 h.The Congress will officially begin with an Opening ceremony and party on Sunday, 25 August at 20-22 h. in the Municipal House of Prague (in Czech: Obecni Dum), Metro station "Namesti Republiky".

Please use only one of the above channels to avoid duplication. Specify clearly your requests but we urge you to register as soon as possible. Congress Fees
The registration fee includes Congress materials, invitations to the opening ceremony, concert and farewell party. Authors pay the same registration fee as do participants.
Accommodation Accommodation has been reserved by the CHISA 2002 Accommodation Service "Orgit Ltd."
Since hotels require substantial deposits before the Congress, participants are kindly requested to settle the complete accommodation payment in advance. Upon receipt of the Accommodation Booking Form, Orgit will send you an invoice with instructions on making the payments. Payments should then be transferred to Orgit within two weeks.
Lunches Lunches will be available in the Student House within the Congress venue; there will be a choice from three main dishes. Lunches can be ordered using the Registration Form or purchased in the Congress Office at least one day in advance. Price is 5 EUR/lunch.
Payments in the Congress Office Any payments in the Congress Office can be settled in cash. USD and EUR will be accepted but Czech Crowns are preferred. Credit cards will be honoured, however, cheques will not be accepted. Nearby bank service is available during weekdays.
